working together

Different levels of commitment, one way of working: considered, honest, and focused on where you want to get to.

what I do

Coaching conversations that help people make sense of complexity, consider their options, and decide how they want to move forward.

All coaching sessions take place online via Zoom. In practice, many people find that online coaching provides a focused and consistent space for reflection that fits naturally alongside the demands of work and everyday life. Meeting online also allows people to join from a private environment of their choosing, without the time and disruption involved in travelling to appointments.

introduction

A place to think, with someone who understands how people work

Most of us spend our days responding, to demands, to other people, to the next thing on the list. What’s often missing is protected time to step back and think clearly about what’s actually happening, and what we want to do about it.

That’s what this work offers: a considered space to think, alongside someone with more than 25 years of understanding how people think, relate, decide, and change. I bring genuine psychological depth, but I keep the work firmly as coaching: practical, forward-looking, and focused on you. The aim isn’t insight for its own sake. It’s clearer thinking that leads somewhere.

Part of what a first conversation is for is working out whether I’m the right person for what you need. If I think coaching isn’t the right thing, or that someone else would serve you better, I’ll say so. I’d rather be honest about that than take on work that isn’t a good fit, and in my experience people can tell the difference.

There are four ways to work with me below, from a single conversation to ongoing work. They’re different levels of commitment rather than different kinds of coaching, so you can start wherever fits, and change as your needs do.

All sessions take place online via Zoom. In practice, many people find that meeting online gives them a consistent, private space to think that fits around real life, and that a coach is best chosen on fit, not on how near they happen to be.

ways of working

How we work depends on what you need a single session to think one thing through, or ongoing time to think properly over a longer period. Every option starts with a free, no-obligation discovery call, so we can work out together whether this is the right fit and which approach suits you best.

Discovery Call

A free, no-obligation conversation to talk over what you’re looking for, ask anything you want to ask, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. It’s also where we’d decide which of the options below suits you best. Some people use it simply to work out whether coaching is their next step at all.

Focused Coaching Session

A single, longer session for thinking one thing through properly: a decision, a change, a situation you feel stuck in, or something important you've not had time to sit with. You'll step back from the day-to-day, look at it from more than one angle, and leave with clearer understanding and a sense of where to go next. Used on its own, or as a way to begin.
90 to 120 minutes · One-off
From £275 (self-funding), £450 (organisation-funded)

Psychologically Informed Coaching

Ongoing work, for when what you're facing won't be resolved in a single conversation. Rather than one issue, we work over time with the patterns, assumptions, and circumstances shaping how you think and respond, building clarity, perspective, and self-understanding, while keeping a practical hold on moving forward. Well suited to periods of transition, growing responsibility, or questions of direction.
90 to 120 minutes · Usually every 2 to 4 weeks
From £275 (self-funding), £450 (organisation-funded)

Thinking Space

A regular, protected time to think, for people carrying real responsibility who rarely get to step back on their own terms. Much of your time goes on responding to demands and supporting others; this is time to think openly about your own work, relationships, decisions, and direction, with the perspective of someone who understands the pressures involved.
